The second in a trilogy of EPs prior to the release of the forthcoming album Fear of Silence. I Was 25 contains two new tracks from the band and 3 cover versions of the Burning Out track by fellow IP artist The Hydrogen Trees.

Burning Out:
This is a confessional, a therapy song through and through. It sits right in the middle of the album and represents the heart and essence of the album and of the songwriter. Honest and direct, I’m laying myself bare, simply and in 3 chords. The flipside of Ain’t no Genius.

Ain’t No Genius:
A fantasy gone wrong about fighting with friends, family and lovers, a blend of truth and fabrication, honesty and subterfuge. It plays in the space between the people we are and the people we imagine we are, both good and bad. A high-octane, punky caricature of human relationships, ironic and defensive, self-loathing and self-pitying, it’s a cubist portrait of the artist as a very confused young man.
